![]() Pick one!įrom here I'd recommend you read the manual and go find some basic Logic training. Under "Native Instruments" you'll have Absynth 5, Battery 4, FM8, Kontakt 5, Massive & Reaktor. On the Inst 1 channel strip you'll see a darkened box that says "Instrument", click & hold here to get the list of AU plugins, at the bottom of the list you'll see "AU Instruments" and under that at *least* "Apple" and "Native Instruments" should be listed. This creates an Inst 1 track, and if you have the Inspector visible on the left (it is by default, otherwise make sure the circle with the "i" in it in the top left toolbar is depressed/enabled) you will see the Inst 1 channel strip and the main Output channel strip on the LEFT of the arrange page. Then you'll be prompted to create your first track in the project, choose Software Instrument and UN-check Open Library (since that shows you only Library Objects saved for you by default by the creators of Logic, you can make NI Library objects later) ![]() New Project > Empty Project (set all preferences for this new project as needed) ![]() In other words, when you create a new Virtual Instrument they won't be in your Library by default, so try this:
